Dental hygienist
Field of activity
The field of activity includes carrying out dental cleanings and scaling, advising patients and instructing them on prophylaxis.
Professional qualification/further training
Professional aptitude is possessed by anyone with a diploma recognized by the Swiss Red Cross who can prove at least three years of training at a school for dental hygienists and at least two years of practical experience as a dental hygienist in an employment relationship.
Special features
Dental hygienists are prohibited from treating high-risk medical patients and from performing conduction, local or surface anesthesia.

In accordance with Health Act Art. 7 ff and Health Ordinance Art. 32 to 34.
