Equality between women and men
The Equal Opportunities Department performs its tasks to promote equality between women and men using the gender mainstreaming approach. This approach counteracts the usual stereotyping and focuses on the individual. Gender mainstreaming is aimed at all people at all hierarchical levels who are involved in shaping society and aims to overcome the negative effects of gender relations and social gender perceptions.
Both women and men should benefit from gender equality work.
