School Social Work
School social work is a free and low-threshold service provided by the Liechtenstein Education Authority for public schools. There it is affiliated as a specialist area of the department "Pedagogical-Psychological Services".
It accompanies children and adolescents in the process of growing up, supports them in coping with life and promotes their skills for solving personal and social problems. In addition, it strengthens teachers and parents in their educational tasks and supports the school in socio-pedagogical matters and in crisis situations.
School social work includes individual and group counseling, prevention and project work, early detection and early intervention, mediation and crisis intervention, as well as networking with specialized agencies when necessary.
