UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities

In September 2018, the Ministry of Society invited to the first national conference regarding the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.  Subsequently, a legal opinion was prepared by the University of Innsbruck, which was presented at the second national conference in February 2020 to the attending organizations and authorities. Practically in all subsequently submitted comments a signature or ratification was welcomed.
Thus, the Convention has now been signed at the United Nations in New York on September 8,2020.

On the page of the Federal Department of the Interior you can find information on the Disability Rights Convention (also in sign language).
