Game population survey

Game population

The huntable game population is surveyed regularly in terms of population numbers, age and sex composition, and health status.

For each hunting ground, the game wardens must keep statistics on the number of killed and fallen game of all huntable species and make them available to the Office for the Environment for evaluation and publication at the end of the hunting year.

In order to show the population development of the huntable animal species as well as their habitat situation, a game show is held at the end of each hunting year.
