Participants

In addition to the various offices of the National Administration, the municipalities, utility companies (WLU, LKW, LGV) and other stakeholders are involved in the implementation of the geodata infrastructure via contracts and make valuable contributions to topics that fall within their area of responsibility.

Tasks of the National Administration

The Liechtenstein Spatial Data Infrastructure is mainly coordinated by the Civil Engineering and Geoinformation Office of the Liechtenstein National Administration. The main activities are

  • Creation and maintenance of the geodata for which the country is responsible
  • Coordination with the municipalities and other stakeholders
  • Definition of technical guidelines and data models
  • Creation of legal foundations
  • Ensuring the updating and its financing

The activities are coordinated by the GDI Commission, in which representatives of the National Administration, the municipalities, the works and an external expert are represented. In addition to the GDI Commission, other working groups are involved in the planning and continuation of the geodata infrastructure.
