Autism Support Groups
The Fachstelle Autismushilfe Ostschweiz is, among other things, a competence center for parents of children and young people with autism spectrum disorders. It offers regional, professionally supervised parent exchange meetings in Wil, Buchs, Frauenfeld, Benken and St. Gallen 5 times a year for exchange and mutual support. Further information and the exact dates can be found here.
Affected adults also meet monthly in St. Gallen. The meeting takes place on the premises of the specialist center. A team of specialists leads the meetings. Together, the participants find individual ways to improve their social skills in order to appear more confident. The meetings offer the opportunity for mutual contact, the development of social relationships and the exchange of interests in the sense of a leisure meeting. Further information and dates can be found here.

Workaut – life and work support for people with autism – supports people with autism and their families throughout their entire lives. Workaut aims to give parents and close family members of young people (aged 14 and above) and adults diagnosed with autism the opportunity to regularly exchange ideas, learn from each other, and support one another.
To this end, Workaut offers regular (monthly) meetings from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in St. Gallen. There are no set topics for the meetings, and participants can join at any time. The meeting is facilitated by a specialist in coaching and counseling. Please register in advance at blechschmidt@workaut.ch. Participation is free of charge.
In addition, a women's meeting for autistic women is offered once a month. The evenings are intended to create space for encounters and exchange. Registration at frauengruppe@workaut.ch.
