Parents who are dependent on daycare centers or childminders to look after their children for work reasons can apply for financial support for childcare costs from the Office for Social Services. Depending on income, the following proportion of the childcare costs must be borne by the parents themselves:

an additional CHF 30 for each additional CHF 2,000

Reductions in the personal contribution are possible in the event of very tight financial circumstances.

- Employment contract
- Wage statement
- Rental agreement
- Insurance certificate from the health insurance company
- Proof of any maintenance obligations
- Proof of rent subsidy
- Proof of child benefit, any pensions, other income
