Equal opportunities

The Equal Opportunities Department is committed to promoting equal opportunities in the areas of gender equality, disability, migration and integration, social disadvantage and sexual orientation. Its remit includes information and coordination, awareness-raising and project work, financial support for funding projects and advice centers, involvement in legislative projects and participation in regional and international specialist committees.

  • The Equal Opportunities Award 2025 will be presented on November 26.
    The deadline for entries is September 30.

  • "No place for sexism - show moral courage!" campaign

    The campaign will start in mid-May with posters in public spaces and information on other channels in the country (buses, Skino, social media, etc.). The campaign encourages people to take a stand against sexism and stand up for each other.

  • Equal opportunities action plan 2025
    Central projects to be implemented by the Equal Opportunities Department and the Ministry of Society and Culture, Family and Equal Opportunities in 2025.
  • International Women's Day 2025, March 8, 2025
    The Women in Good Health Association and the Equal Opportunities Department of the Office of Social Services invite you to an event at SAL Schaan on Saturday evening, March 8, 2025, at 6 pm. After a welcoming address by Government Councillor Manuel Frick, the concert will be performed by the yodelling choir "Echo vom Eierstock".
  • 40 years of women's suffrage in Liechtenstein
    Special exhibition at the National Museum from July 2 to January 26, 2025;
    Supporting programme organized by the Women in Good Health Association and the Equal Opportunities Department.

    The new guide from the Equal Opportunities Division is primarily concerned with the equal treatment of women and men in language and is aimed at anyone who would like tips and assistance on gender-equitable language use.
  • CEDAW in brief - the UN Women's Rights Convention and Liechtenstein
    Published by the Association for Human Rights in Liechtenstein, the Office for Foreign Affairs and the Office for Social Services (Equal Opportunities Division).
  • Domestic violence: emergency cards and guide
    The cards in eight different languages and the accompanying guide can be ordered at any time from the Equal Opportunities Division. The cards contain the most important information and telephone numbers on the subject of violence in marriage and partnerships.
