Use of Peter-Kaiser-Platz
General information
The Principality of Liechtenstein is the owner of Peter-Kaiser-Platz, which connects the parliament building with the government building in the government district as a continuation of the Vaduz pedestrian zone.
Peter-Kaiser-Platz is generally available to the public for public and non-commercial events, in particular for events with a social, cultural and political background.
During sessions of Parliament or other events organized by Parliament (including its commissions and delegations) as well as during state visits and other official visits, on public holidays, high holidays such as Easter, Whitsun, Corpus Christi, All Saints' Day and Christmas, Peter-Kaiser-Platz is not available for public events, or only to a limited extent.
Authorization
Simple use of the square (without buildings and catering) does not require a permit, but must be registered with the Government Chancellery at least three days before the event. Simple use includes all activities that do not fall under increased public use.
Events with increased public use require a permit from the Government Chancellery. In the case of increased public use, use of the space by other users is significantly restricted or excluded. This includes, for example, the holding of rallies, the erection of mobile structures, equipment, seating and tents, as well as catering.
Further information and provisions can be found in the usage regulations and in the usage instructions, which must also be observed.
Application
The application form(situation plan) from the Government Chancellery must be used for events with increased public use. Applications for events with increased public use must generally be submitted to the Government Chancellery at least four weeks before the date of the event.
Between April 29 and November 4, 2024, Peter-Kaiser-Platz will only be available to a limited extent. For events that fall within this period, please contact us before submitting your application.
Fees
In principle, no fee is charged for the issue of a permit for the use of Peter-Kaiser-Platz. A fee may be charged by the Government Chancellery if the granting of a permit involves considerable expense.
