Any foreign national who holds an assurance or a visa for a permit entitling him or her to reside in Liechtenstein with or without the right of residence must register in person at the competent Residents' Registration Office and then at the Migration and Passport Office within eight days of entering the country.

Any foreign national with the right of residence in Liechtenstein must report the transfer of residence to another municipality in the country or a change of address within the municipality of residence to the responsible residents' registration office within eight days.
