"Internationale Bodensee-Konferenz" (IBK)
The Director of the Office of Cultural Affairs represents Liechtenstein in the Commission for Culture of the "Internationale Bodensee-Konferenz" (IBK). In the field of culture, the IBK awards annual sponsorship prizes in changing cultural fields. Every two years "Künstler:innenbegegnungen" take place. In addition, cultural forums are held every two years. The organization of the mentioned formats is taken over in each case by one of the total of ten IBK member regions, whereby corresponding tasks are also regularly performed by Liechtenstein.
"IBK-Künstler:innenbegegnungen"
The "Internationale Bodensee-Konferenz" (IBK) is a cooperative association, the countries and cantons bordering and connected to Lake Constance Baden-Württemberg, Schaffhausen, Zurich, Thurgau, St. Gallen, Appenzell Ausserrhoden, Appenzell Innerrhoden, Principality of Liechtenstein, Vorarlberg and Bavaria. The countries and cantons of the IBK take turns in organizing the biennial "IBK-Künstler:innenbegegnungen".
Every two years, the International Lake Constance Conference organizes this "IBK-Künstler:innenbegegnungen" in a different art field in each case.
Between the nominated artists around Lake Constance, an artistic dialogue across borders and new connections are to be stimulated. Through exchange and interaction, new things are to be discovered and the public will have the opportunity to experience the cultural diversity and commonalities of the Lake Constance region.
The Principality of Liechtenstein hosted the "IBK-Künstler:innenbegegnung" in 2023. Under the title "a-hoi - Kunsthafen Vaduz" the area between the government building and the administration building/National Archives became a "pop-up" art harbor with stage and gastro containers from June 22 to 24, 2023. The encounter between artists and audience was the focus, the medium was the "Improvisations-Kunst".

"IBK-Förderpreise"
The"Internationale Bodensee-Konferenz" has been awarding annual promotional prizes in changing categories since 1991. Up to seven promotional prizes of 10,000 Swiss francs each can be awarded.
The Commission for Culture of the "Internationale Bodensee-Konferenz" is entrusted with the organization of the sponsorship awards. It is responsible for the entire procedure, from the nomination of cultural professionals to the judging. The organization is given to a member country or a canton on a rotating basis.
The bodies involved (Organization, Culture Commission and Standing Committee) take the necessary measures for preparation and implementation.
"IBK-Kleinprojektefonds"
The "IBK-Kleinprojektefonds" of the "Internationale Bodensee-Konferenz" (IBK) promotes encounters and exchanges across borders in the Lake Constance region.
