The aim of the housing subsidy is to support the construction, conversion (if this is in connection with a change of ownership) or purchase of private residential property with an interest-free loan. Subsidies are granted provided that the legally prescribed requirements are met. The Housing Subsidy Office checks the requirements of the applicants and the eligibility of the property to be subsidized. The office then decides on the granting of loans.

The main responsibilities of the Office of Building and Regional Planning are to provide advice, process applications, manage existing client portfolios, and issue annual invoices. The Housing Subsidy Office offers non-binding and free advice on housing subsidy issues. Personal counseling appointments are available by appointment.
