German as a second language

German as a second language (DaZ) as additional teaching is one of the special school measures according to the support concept. DaZ is aimed at children and young people whose first language is not German. DaZ expands the language skills of these pupils so that they can follow the lessons in kindergarten or in their usual class with as few language problems as possible. DaZ supplementary lessons take place in the classroom, in group and/or individual settings in the subject areas of German, NMG and in conjunction with SFL (support/support course and learning support).
