Biodiversity in agriculture
In the last two decades, agriculture has undergone a profound change in favor of biodiversity.
The Ordinance on the Promotion of Biodiversity Promotion Areas (Biodiversity Promotion Ordinance; BFV) introduced in 2023 serves to promote and maintain ecologically high-quality biodiversity promotion areas and the long-term networking of high-quality habitats on agricultural land. The Ordinance also serves to increase the ecological and, in particular, the botanical quality of biodiversity promotion areas and habitats.
