The Kulturbrauerei is located in the former brewhouse of the Quaderer Brewery on Feldkircher Strasse in Schaan. This listed historic building is currently being restored and transformed into a place for artistic work, living, and cultural exchange. From 2027 onwards, three live-in studios for international artists and two smaller studios for local artists will be available. These facilities are complemented by shared studio spaces, a large communal kitchen, and exhibition areas in the historic vaulted cellar. Residencies are limited to three months and are designed to encourage engagement with Liechtenstein’s cultural environment. The Kulturbrauerei provides space for creative production, encounters, and networking within an inspiring historic setting. The project is led by the Municipality of Schaan in cooperation with the Office of Culture of Liechtenstein, Visarte Liechtenstein, and the Literaturhaus Liechtenstein. The Kulturbrauerei is scheduled to open in autumn 2026, with the first artists moving into the studios in January 2027.

The call for applications for residencies in 2027 has already been completed. The next call for applications for residency grants in 2028 will be launched in spring 2027.
