Operational maintenance
The employees of the three maintenance depots in Vaduz, Triesenberg and Unterland are responsible for a wide range of work on the nationwide public road network.
- Maintenance of a total of 103 km of paved roads
- Maintenance of 21.5 km of natural roads
- Maintenance of sidewalks and cycle paths
- Maintenance and servicing of around 160 LIEmobil waiting cabins
- Cleaning and/or mowing of green areas, rest areas, road surfaces, road surroundings, intersections and islands
- Cleaning of approx. 4,050 inlet shafts
- Rock clearing
- Construction and maintenance of amphibian fences
- Wood maintenance
- Signalization and traffic regulations
- Setting up detour
- Summer and winter on-call service
- Assistance with major events (national holidays, sporting events, etc.)
A special infrastructure and organization is required to keep the road network clear for all road users in winter. The three maintenance depots are responsible for winter road maintenance in their maintenance districts and call on the help of subcontractors if necessary.
The employees of the maintenance depots are not responsible for keeping the clearance profile on sidewalks and country roads clear of plants on private plots. In accordance with Art. 94 of the Building Act, the owners of the respective properties are responsible for this.
