Energy Subsidies
In order to achieve the energy targets, measures must be taken by all of us. Since investments in energy‑efficient measures are often more expensive than those in conventional systems, the state and municipalities provide financial support for such measures.
The municipalities in Liechtenstein provide an additional individual contribution on top of the national subsidy schemes. In addition to the national subsidy, most municipalities grant funding of up to 100% of the national subsidy, subject to the applicable maximum limits.
Please contact your municipality directly for information regarding your specific case. Subject to any changes made by the municipalities, the subsidy rates, maximum municipal funding limits, etc. are generally available on the respective municipal websites in the funding brochures:
Information / Planning
Comprehensive information provided by the Energy Competence Centre and specialist advice from the planning office lead to an individual and optimal solution.
Funding Application
Depending on the funding measure applied for, the appropriate application form must be used and submitted to the Energy Competence Centre. In most cases, a legally binding building permit is required in order to apply for funding.
After reviewing the submitted documents, a decision is made regarding eligibility and the amount of funding granted.
Funding Approval / Implementation
The approval confirming entitlement to funding is issued by the Energy Competence Centre. Implementation of the eligible measure may only begin once this approval has been received. Important: The entitlement to funding lapses if implementation of the measure begins before a legally binding funding approval has been issued.
Acceptance / Payment
Payment of the national funding amount is made after the technical acceptance of the funded installation.
