Vehicle inspection / technology
You can request an appointment for a periodic vehicle inspection by sending an e-mail to dispo.asv@llv.li. Further information under Periodic vehicle inspections.
If you fail the vehicle inspection, you have two options for rectifying the defects within 30 days and thus completing the inspection.
1. RBV authorized workshops
If it is noted on your inspection report that the repair can be carried out by an authorized specialist company, the repair-authorized company(RBV companies) may confirm the repair carried out with a stamp and signature. This confirmation has the effect of an official follow-up inspection.
The signed vehicle inspection report must be submitted to the Road Traffic Office together with the vehicle registration document within 30 days.
The application form for new applications, changes and renewals of authorized companies can be downloaded from the following link: Form
2. Follow-up inspection at the Road Traffic Office
If the follow-up inspection is to be carried out by the Road Traffic Office, an appointment must be made. You can obtain this via dispo.asv@llv.li
You will then receive a vehicle inspection report with the note "Inspection passed" as well as a new vehicle registration document with the new inspection date. The vehicle inspection report must always be carried with the vehicle registration document and presented at a traffic check.
Important: If the inspection cannot be completed within 30 days using one of the two options mentioned, the vehicle will be called in again for a complete inspection.
