The international thresholds for contracting authorities "Country" are defined in the announcement of the thresholds.

Above these thresholds, public contracts must be awarded by open or restricted procedure, depending on their appropriateness(Article 22, paragraph 1 ÖAWG). Exceptional provisions for the permissible use of the negotiated procedure are regulated in Article 24 of the Ordinance on Public Procurement.
