Authorization for Publishing Geodata

Authorization requirement

In accordance with the Fees Ordinance of August 30, 2011, the publishing of data from the geodata infrastructure or products derived from it is subject to authorization if they are larger than A5 in size. Publishing includes in particular

• Creation and distribution of local maps
• Publishing of local maps on the Internet
• Reproduction in books, newspapers, brochures
• Distribution via CDs

Permission for reproduction itself is not subject to a charge. However, you will be invoiced for the usage fees for data retrieval when the data is issued.

Application for a reproduction license

Permission to reproduce data, plans and maps from the geodata infrastructure is granted by the Civil Engineering and Geoinformation Office. Please use the form to apply for permission to reproduce data: Reproduction of Geodata of the Land:Request for Publishing.

The following note must be clearly visible on all published copies - irrespective of the authorization requirement:

"Plan basis: Civil Engineering and Geoinformation Office"
