Application abroad
Liechtenstein nationals residing abroad can apply for an identity card at the relevant Swiss representation. Liechtenstein representations do not issue identity cards.
Liechtenstein nationals residing in Switzerland must apply for an identity card to the Migration and Passport Office in Vaduz.
In addition to applying for a passport or an identity card, it is also possible to apply for a passport and an identity card at the same time at the relevant Swiss representation.
