Administrative measures (ADMAS)

General

Administrative measures in road traffic are issued by the Road Traffic Office as the first-instance enforcement authority. It is an administrative procedure under the Law on the General Administration of the Land (LVG) and is carried out completely independently of the criminal procedure of the judicial authority.

The Office of Road Traffic may order the following measures:

  • Driver's license revocations
  • Warnings
  • Orders for traffic instruction for remedial training
  • Orders for clarification and maintenance of fitness to drive
  • Orders for reissuance of driver's license with or without conditions after security withdrawals and verification of fitness to drive
