In order to increase planning security for construction projects, you will find Liechtenstein's archaeological perimeter on this page. The legal basis for our daily work is also linked here.

This planning instrument records the properties on which archaeological remains have been discovered in the past or where there is a high probability of encountering such findings. To date, only a part of the actually existing sites in Liechtenstein is known. During construction work or through surveys, new sites are regularly discovered even outside the area already recorded in the archaeological perimeter.

Maintaining and updating an inventory of sites is a legal mandate. The areas can be accessed in the geodata portal of the Liechtenstein National Administration.
