For outstanding performances at Olympic Games, World and European Championships as well as Small States Games, bonuses can be paid to successful athletes and junior athletes.

Awards - Golden Laurel Leaf
The government honors individuals in recognition of outstanding achievements and special services to Liechtenstein sport by awarding them the "Golden Laurel Leaf". As an outward sign of the honor, the honoree also receives a gold pin.
