purpose
If you want to put a safe vehicle into circulation for private purposes for a few days only, the day number offers you the opportunity to do so. In the foreground are, in addition to transfer journeys, especially journeys to the official inspection before matriculation.
Use of the vehicles
The day plates are basically only valid in Liechtenstein and Switzerland. A vehicle bearing day plates may only be used for gratuitous journeys and may not be rented out. There may be no more than 8 persons in such a vehicle. Vehicles that are subject to the heavy vehicle fee may not be used to transport goods.
Duration of validity / return of daily plates
Daily passes are issued for a validity period of 24, 48, 72 or 96 hours . The validity begins with the issuance of the badge and the return of the plates at the counter. After the expiration of the validity, the control plates as well as the day pass must be returned to us immediately or sent back by mail. If day plates are handed in late, the badge holder will owe the additional traffic tax for the period from the expiration of validity until the day plates are returned.
Operational safety
A vehicle placed on the road with day plates must be safe to operate and meet the technical requirements for road vehicles. Steering, lighting and brakes must function properly, the tread depth of the tires must be at least 1.6 mm and the body must not have any defects that are significant for road safety. If the last inspection date is outside the legal periodicity, the vehicle must undergo a road safety inspection before the day plates are issued. This can be done with the appropriate form by a Liechtenstein garage owner.
Liability insurance
With the purchase of a tag (except tag for trailers) you automatically join our collective liability insurance. Any comprehensive insurance must be taken out by the holder himself.
