Hiking trails
As a typical mountainous country, the Principality of Liechtenstein offers a wide variety of hiking opportunities. 215 km of valley hiking trails, 160 km of mountain hiking trails and 5 km of Alpine routes, all of which are well developed, marked and signposted, leave little to be desired despite the small size of the country.

A large selection of hiking literature, including maps, is available to help you prepare for your hike.
All of Liechtenstein's hiking trails can be called up in electronic form on the geodata portal of the national administration. Select the desired hike quickly and easily using the available options of start/finish location, walking time, distance and/or altitude.
You can also find a range of interesting hiking suggestions with lots of additional information about the country and its people at Liechtenstein Tourism.
Please also note that as a hiker you are often in the habitats of wild animals. In Liechtenstein, protected and hibernation zones have been established throughout the country to protect wild animals.
Via Alpina
With a length of more than 5,000 kilometers and spread over 341 stages, the Via Alpina offers an exciting journey of discovery through the 8 Alpine countries. This flyer describes the three Liechtenstein stages in words and pictures.
