Emergency assistance course
When applying for a learner's permit in categories A or B or subcategories A1, AM or B1 for the first time , the applicant must enclose a certificate of attendance at a course on life-saving emergency measures (emergency helper's certificate). For categories M, G and F, no emergency aid certificate is required
Validity
The course is valid for 6 years. Expired courses will not be accepted.

Course exemption
- Persons who already have a category A, A1, B or B1 driving license;
- Doctors, dentists and veterinarians;
- Nursing staff with a diploma or certificate of competence;
- Instructors of emergency assistance courses;
- other persons who provide proof of training in life-saving emergency measures from a recognized body
- Persons who exchange a foreign driving license.
