Child and youth protection
Child and youth protection at the Office of Social Services aims to protect children and young people from dangers that could jeopardize their development. It supports them and the responsible adults in dealing with these dangers. Topics include legal and illegal addictive substances, digital media, violence, racism, radicalization, debt, working conditions and any kind of exploitation of physical and mental immaturity.
Child and youth protection provides education, advice and information for prevention. It networks and supports relevant projects and initiatives.
Furthermore, Child and Youth Protection monitors compliance with the relevant protection regulations. Educational interventions are initiated in the event of infringements by young people and any legal measures are taken in the event of infringements by adults.
