Residency

All diplomatic representatives from other states are not resident in Liechtenstein, irrespective of whether Liechtenstein has appointed a resident ambassador to that state.

Legitimation cards 

The Government of the Principality of Liechtenstein issues upon request a legitimation card for the head of mission. The legitimation card can be applied for through the protocol office.

Absences

The temporary absence of the head of mission shall be notified to the protocol office by means of a note verbale in which the name of the chargé d’affaires ad interim shall also be stated.

Parting visits

Parting visits to H. S. H. the Reigning Prince or his representative and to members of the government are not mandatory. Heads of mission who wish to pay a farewell visit to a member of the government or another official shall contact the protocol office.
