Government Chancellery Unit

The Chancellery Services Division is a department of the Government Chancellery Staff Unit, which reports directly to the Collegial Government. Day-to-day supervision is exercised by the Prime Minister.

It is divided into four areas: Chancellery Services (with counter in the Government House), Registry, Telephone Exchange, and Advice and Complaints Office.

The Chancellery Services are the issuing office for various government publications, such as the Accountability Report or printed matter in the legislative process (consultations, external comments on consultations, government reports and motions to Parliament, and referendum bills). In addition, Chancellery Services manages the State calendar.

Furthermore, the Chancellery Services are the approval authority for various topics, such as alcohol licenses, events, the use of Peter Kaiser Square, the use of the national coat of arms and national colors and much more. Likewise, Chancellery Services performs all tasks related to the people's political rights, i.e., elections and voting.
