Requirements for driving instructors from abroad
The following licenses and requirements are necessary for driving instructors from abroad:
- Federal Diploma of Higher Education "Driving Instructor" or recognized equivalent training. The equivalence assessment can be applied for at the L-Drive QSK under the following link: Quality Assurance Commission QSK for driving instructors - L-drive Switzerland
- Driving instructor license; is issued by the NRO in accordance with the Driving Instructor Ordinance (Fahrlehrerverordnung FV) FV - gesetze.li
- Permit for professional passenger transport; issued by the NRO
- Driving school vehicle in accordance with Art. 10 of the FV FV - gesetze.li
- Technical acceptance of the driving school vehicle
- Test vehicle in accordance with Annex 11 No. V of the Traffic Admission Ordinance (Verkehrszulassungsverordnung VZV) VZV - gesetze.li
Fees:
- Issue of driving instructor license, CHF 100.00 2004.258 - gesetze.li
- Permit for the professional transportation of passengers, CHF 100.00
- Technical inspection of the driving school vehicle, CHF 120.00

- Extract from criminal record
