The objective is to achieve a good ecological condition of the water bodies. For this purpose, the Office for the Environment develops strategies, concepts and programs of measures. The focus is on:
- Watercourse restoration
- Assessment of technical interventions
- Determination and control of residual flows
- Remediation of hydropeaking
- Spatial planning safeguarding of the watercourse area
