Online services in EU/EEA member states

Liechtenstein citizens and foreigners who registered the eID.li at the Migration and Passport Office on site can access electronic services of other EU/EEA member states, provided that the eID.li has been integrated by them as a login option.

Liechtenstein citizens who registered the eID.li via video identification can access some, but not all online services of other EU/EEA member states, provided that the eID.li has been integrated by them as a login option.

Foreigners who registered the eID.li via video identification cannot access online services of other EU/EEA member states.

Please note: To login to electronic services in other EU/EEA member states, the biometric security features of the mobile device are deactivated temporarily, therefore the eID.li app password must be used.

Carrying digital identity documents

The eID.li app contains digital copies of official documents. If a person is listed as the holder of an official document in one of the administration's registers, a digitized version is automatically imported in the eID.li app, using the latest data from the register. The following is a list of personal documents that are available through the eID.li app.

If you are registered as the holder of a valid driver's license in Liechtenstein, a digital copy is automatically imported into the eID.li app. For technical reasons, the mobile driver's licence can only be produced if the person already has a credit card format driving license document. The driving license remains stored in the eID.li app and is available even if the internet connection is lost.

If you are registered in Liechtenstein as the holder of a valid cross-border commuter registration confirmation (GMB) in Liechtenstein, a digital copy of the document is automatically imported into the eID.li app. The document remains saved in the eID.li app and is available even if the internet connection is lost.
