Animal welfare officer
The government appointed Elias Zopfi as the new Animal Welfare Officer on January 31, 2023.
The statutory duties of the Animal Welfare Officer include, among other things
- participating in the further development of animal welfare legislation
- informing the public on animal welfare matters
- advising animal owners and
- the general representation of interests for the protection of animals.
