Revocation of telephone connection regulation
The Office for Communications revokes the regulation of telephone connections (correctly: "access to the public telephone network at a fixed location"). The revocation will come into force on 1 January 2023.
The rapid transformation to a competitive market was, on the one hand, based on VoIP wholesale, which Telecom Liechtenstein had offered from 2016 and was regulated by the Office for Communications concerning fees and reference offers from 2019, and, on the other hand, on number portability in the fixed network, which the Office for Communications had made mandatory in the telephony market from 2019.
