The Permanent Representation of the Principality of Liechtenstein to the Council of Europe is responsible for relations with the Council of Europe. This includes representing Liechtenstein at the weekly meetings of the Committee of Ministers at ambassadorial level and maintaining contact with the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities of Europe and the European Court of Human Rights. The Permanent Representation also ensures good relations with the Permanent Representations of the member and observer States. The Permanent Representative also represents Liechtenstein on the Administrative Council and the Governing Board of the Council of Europe Development Bank in Paris.

Ambassador Domenik Wanger has been Liechtenstein's Permanent Representative to the Council of Europe since 1 May 2020.

Liechtenstein is holding the rotating Presidency of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe for six months since 15 November 2023. All information on the presidency, the presidency programme and the events in Liechtenstein and Strasbourg can be found on the website europarat.li.
