Mpox: Registration for vaccination

The vaccines Jynneos® and Imvanex® are inoculated in Liechtenstein to protect against Mpox.

There is currently no vaccination recommendation for the general population.

Vaccination with Jynneos® or Imvanex® is recommended for the following groups of people (aged 18 and over)

• Preventive: people with high-risk sex lives, men who have sex with other men and trans people with changing sexual partners.
• Preventive: People who are exposed to the Mpox virus for professional reasons (healthcare and laboratory staff) and who are at risk of contracting Mpox despite taking safety precautions. This also applies to humanitarian missions abroad.
• After risk contact: Contact persons not yet infected with Mpox after relevant risk contact with infected or probably infected persons as well as healthcare and laboratory personnel after relevant unprotected contact. For children and adolescents under the age of 18 and pregnant women, a detailed risk/benefit assessment is required in individual cases.

Discretion will be maintained both during the registration process and during the vaccination.
