Up to 90 days

Service providers are companies (natural or legal persons) domiciled in Switzerland that provide a temporary service in Liechtenstein with seconded persons (self-employed sole proprietors, directly employed staff and persons loaned by a personnel leasing company domiciled in Liechtenstein). The owner of a sole proprietorship must have EU/EEA or Swiss citizenship in order to be able to make use of the freedom to provide services.

Duty to declare

  • The cross-border provision of services must be reported from the 9th day, even if it is provided free of charge.

  • The provision of services subject to notification is limited to a maximum of 90 days within a calendar year.

  • There is a right of presence in Liechtenstein for the duration of the provision of services.

  • The provision of services may commence no earlier than 8 days after receipt of the notification. In emergencies, for repairs, in the event of accidents or in other unforeseeable circumstances, work may begin immediately after notification has been given.
  • Reporting up to 90 days is free of charge via the electronic reporting system (EMS). For staff leasing companies, electronic reporting up to 90 days is subject to a fee.
  • In the event of a fine due to late reporting, the date of the electronic report, the date of receipt of the fax or the date of receipt of the fax by the Migration and Passport Office applies.
  • A confirmation will be issued for the duration of the service provided
  • Assignments must be managed and changed or canceled in the customer account. Changes and cancellations are possible until 10:00 a.m. on the day of use.
