This glossary was compiled by the Office for Communications and is intended to serve as an information and reference tool for interested operators and providers of electronic communications services as well as other groups of people:

In addition to common technical abbreviations from the fields of messaging, communications, information, network technology and data communications, the glossary also contains definitions and explanations that refer to the regulatory/governmental environment in Liechtenstein (in case of doubt, legal provisions/legal definitions take precedence).

The Office for Communications strives to keep the glossary up-to-date and comprehensive. The glossary is therefore periodically reviewed and expanded. Comments, requests for additions to the glossary, etc. will be gladly received and taken into account as far as possible.
