Additional description for surveyors
Discussions are currently underway in Switzerland to introduce a new data model for the official cadastral survey. One of the most important principles of the new data model will be its flexibility - hence the name DM.flex. This flexibility will be achieved by splitting the current DM.01-AV-CH model into several small, independent data models. This will make it easier in future to make adjustments here and there without having to change the entire model.
In the first version of DM.flex, the content of the data model (and thus the AV) is not changed significantly. Only the structure of the model is modified in order to make it ready for the first changes in the future. In fact, all changes must be made at the appropriate time. For this reason, such flexibility must first be made possible.
The introduction of this first version reflects this idea and allows the current data model to be restructured without changing the content. The changes to the content will probably be made in one or two years' time, as soon as it is possible to respond to specific needs.
