Flower Meadow Project
Small area - big impact for our native biodiversity
With the "Flower Meadow" project, the Office of Environment is campaigning for more native plants and more habitat for pollinators in urban areas.
Whether a flower meadow, balcony box or plant trough: such areas are not only beautiful to look at, but also provide food, structure and habitat - precisely where this is often lacking today. At the same time, the project promotes the conscious choice of suitable plants. Native wildflowers support native pollinators and help to prevent the further spread of problematic alien species, so-called invasive neophytes.
The flyers "Native heroes instead of neophytes" and "From the lawn desert to a diverse insect buffet" are available at the Office of Environment and at Office events, along with seed bags for planting your own flower meadow.
Interested persons are cordially invited to pick up the flyers and make their own contribution to the networking of habitats in residential areas.
