Child and youth welfare

Child and youth welfare aims to support family systems so that they can meet the needs of children and young people and intervenes where official measures are necessary for the protection/welfare of children and young people.

This includes advising parents, young people and caregivers on parenting, development and detachment problems, as well as when parents separate. In addition, the Children and Youth Service also carries out official measures in accordance with the Youth Act (educational assistance, foster care, care education), manages guardianships of minors, provides professional support for foster care relationships, prepares social reports for foreign adoptions, mediates in domestic options, prepares opinions for the court on visitation and custody arrangements and provides financial support in accordance with the Youth Act.
