International driving license
The Road Traffic Office recommends carrying an international driving license when travelling to all foreign countries, excluding Switzerland and all EU/EEA countries.
The license is valid for three years from the date of issue and costs CHF 50
Please also note that the international driving license can only be recognized in conjunction with a valid national driving license. If you still have the blue driving license (in paper format), this must be exchanged before the international driving license is issued.
