After birth
After the birth, various obligations and options arise:
- First, you should register your child with your health-insurance.
- You are entitled to family-allowances (child allowances, birth allowances, single parent allowances).
- You receive maternity allowances.
- You receive under certain conditions a Bausubvention (homeownership).
- Up to a certain level of household income, you are entitled to rent subsidies.
- Issuing an ID or passport for your child at the Migration and Passport Office.
