Gambling

The Gambling Act regulates commercial or publicly operated games of chance and skill for money or other pecuniary advantages, in particular the licensing and operation of casinos and the licensing and conduct of lotteries, betting, skill-based gambling and online gambling.

Gambling may only be conducted on a commercial or public basis if the required license has been obtained or if the gambling is exempt from such license by law. The installation and operation of slot machines outside of licensed casinos are prohibited.

Casinos and providers of online gambling are additionally subject to the Due Diligence Act. Corresponding information can be found on the website of the Financial Market Authority.
