The Office for Communications (Amt für Kommunikation, AK) is the competent regulatory, supervisory and administrative body for electronic communication.

As an independent regulatory authority, it promotes and monitors effective competition in the telecommunications market. To this end, we conduct market analyses, impose special regulatory measures and monitor compliance. As an administrative body, the Office for Communications manages means of identification and radio frequencies, amongst others.
