The popular initiative
Initiatives can be submitted as collective or municipal petitions. The provisions on collective petitions are set out below. For more detailed provisions on municipal petitions, please refer to the Popular Rights Act, in particular Art. 68.
The matters set out are summarized. In any case, the wording of the relevant laws, in particular the Volksrechtegesetz, LGBl. 1973 No. 50, is authoritative.
