European Professional Card
The European Professional Card (EPC) offers a fully electronic procedure for the recognition of professional qualifications from EU and EEA countries. The EBA serves as electronic proof that the professional qualification has been recognized. However, it does not automatically entitle the holder to practice the profession. Depending on the profession, further criteria must be met, such as personal aptitude or German language skills.
The EBA can be applied for the following professions:
- Pharmacist
- Mountain guide
- Real estate agent
- Nursing specialist
- Physiotherapist
The EBA can be applied for via the EU portal "Your Europe". A personal EU login account must be set up for this purpose.
All necessary documents for the professional qualification can be uploaded with the online application form.
The competent authorities in Liechtenstein will support the applicant. It checks whether the documents are complete, genuine and valid. It then forwards the application to the competent authority in the host country via the European Internal Market Information System IMI.
The competent authority in the host country checks the documents. If they are complete, it issues the EBA in the positive case.
