Questions and answers (FAQ)

eCommerce

If you have any questions about the e-commerce platform, please contact us at egewerbe.avw@llv.li .

When you log in to the eGewerbe customer area for the first time (!), you will be asked to enter your e-mail address via eVertrettung. You are then fully registered in eVertrettung and can then use the eCommerce service without restriction.

For this purpose, you first need a valid (approved) business license. This means that without a business license, you cannot apply to keep your business open on Sundays and public holidays.

Both the Office of Justice (incorporation under commercial law/entry in the Commercial Register Division) and the Office of Economic Affairs (Craft, Trade and Industry Law Bureau) are involved in this procedure. For this purpose, please write to the Craft, Trade and Industry Law Bureau in advance with your concerns in this regard - we will navigate you through the entire process:

Contact eGewerbe

With the new e-business platform, we no longer provide traditional online forms. You can make new applications or changes directly in your eCommerce customer area.

A basic distinction is made between the address for service under commercial law (Office of Justice), the address for service under Craft, Trade and Industry Law (Office of Economic Affairs) and the business premises address (Office of Economic Affairs).

To change the address for service in the Commercial Register Division (address for service under commercial law),
please contact the Office of Justice, Commercial Register Division.

To change your Craft, Trade and Industry Law Bureau delivery address or business premises address, log in to the eGewerbe platform with your eID and change your Craft, Trade and Industry Law Bureau delivery address.

When applying for a business license in eCraft, Trade and Industry Law Bureau for the first time, you can also select any existing delivery address under commercial law and designate this as the delivery address under commercial law - the choice is yours!

Employee notifications must always be submitted to the Office of Statistics.

Offices of Justice must be notified of changes to persons entered in the Commercial Register Division.

If the Craft, Trade and Industry Law Bureau managing director and/or operations manager changes, these changes must be applied for in eTrade. Log in to the eCommerce platform with your eID and make the changes there.

Yes, in principle you are obliged to notify the Office of Economic Affairs in writing of any changes to the requirements. Log in to the e-business platform with your eID and make the changes there.

The following licenses are available from September 10, 2025:

If you have any questions, please contact the Office of Economic Affairs at egewerbe.avw@llv.li.

Alternatively, you can "Report a data error" in the e-business customer area. Access the customer area and click on the 3 dots in the top right-hand corner. A contact form will open.

We offer you the option of paying the fees by credit/debit card, purchase on account or cryptocurrencies via the "Payrexx" payment tool. You will then receive a corresponding proof of payment by e-mail.

eRepresentation (special issues in eCommerce)

Information can be found directly on the corresponding website of the Office of Justice: eVertrettung.

To do this, a manager or administrator must assign you the corresponding service authorization under

"Business representations". Instructions and assistance can be found on the eRepresentation page.

eRepresentation:

If the addition worked automatically ("Administrator" role is visible in the eRepresentation), no further action is required. The person is deleted from the Commercial Register Division at the same time as they are deleted from the eRepresentation.

If the activation was carried out manually and the role in the system is "Administrator", this person must be deleted by another administrator or manager. After activation, the company itself is responsible for maintaining the data/persons.

eCommerce:

When submitting a mutation request, please also inform the Office of Economic Affairs and thus the eCommerce customer area of any changes. If a managing director or operations manager is removed from the Commercial Register Division, please delete them from your valid license yourself. The Office of Economic Affairs will check your mutation application and contact you.

You can delegate the so-called "service authorization" in eCommerce to other companies or persons. As an "administrator", you can add another "administrator" at any time (note: these persons can use all (!) digital services of the National Administration for the respective company, including the acceptance of digitally registered letters in the ePostPlus service or Value Added Tax Division accounting with the Fiscal Authority). Therefore, only delegate the eCommerce service authorization so that the person (e.g. your assistant) can only use eCommerce, but cannot submit an eMWST statement to the Fiscal Authority or similar. You regulate this access exclusively in the eRepresentation.

eID (special issues in e-business)

Yes, the Liechtenstein National Administration (Office of Information Technology) offers an Alternative Application Method (AAV).

In official business transactions, your eID corresponds to your electronic declaration of intent. Applications to authorities (e.g. application for a business license) no longer need to be signed by hand. The eID therefore replaces your handwritten / personal signature. Exceptions are those documents which are signed in private business transactions (e.g. employment contracts, rental agreements).

With your eID login in eCommerce, you automatically access the eRepresentations in the background. You either have the role of "Administrator" or "Administrator" (please note: you can use all digital services of the National Administration for the respective company) or an explicit "Service authorization" such as for eCommerce. With both types of authorization, you can make all applications and changes that you find in eCommerce. The right to sign under commercial law (e.g. collectively in pairs) does not play an active role in eCommerce - the eRepresentation regulates precisely those authorizations that you (can) have in the individual digital services of the Liechtenstein National Administration.
